SKIP EWING ANNOUNCES NEW ALBUM DRAGONFLY AVAILABLE SEPTEMBER 18

Award-winning singer-songwriter and artist Skip Ewing is marking September 18 for his new album DRAGONFLY to take wing. Ten songs of love, hope, transition, and transformation nourished by masterful lyrics and powerful delivery. Pre-add/save Skip Ewing’s New Album DRAGONFLY Now HERE.

“Traditionally, dragonflies represent spiritual growth, metamorphosis, maturity, adaptation and renewal, along with light and clarity, joy and happiness,” shares Ewing. "It was an epiphany that this project, along with my renewed efforts to be the artist I’ve always wanted to be, unapologetically embodied all of those things.”

Grounded in insight gained from over a decade out west and inspired by his 1:1 work with horses in Wyoming, learning about the gift of presence and genuine connection, DRAGONFLY pairs contemporary country production with timeless themes—raw emotion, lyrical depth, dynamic vocal range and an unfiltered heart. Self-penned, apart from an epic take on “Down On The Corner,” Ewing, alongside an A-list production and studio team, weaves the journey masterfully. There is universal reflection in “Me & God and a Fishing Pole,” unfettered resilience in “Play On,” as well as angst and heartache in both “Not Me This Time” and the forthcoming song, “Whiskey and You.”

"Not Me This Time," a smoldering ballad about finally breaking free from a toxic cycle of heartache and broken promises, is out today.

"Alcohol and a telephone can be a cruel combination," shares Ewing. "When boundaries are achingly painful to maintain, it often means they’re built out of love. Sometimes the most loving thing to say is… 'Never again.' I wish I didn’t know as much about that as I do."

The latest track follows previous release, “Me & God and a Fishing Pole,” which is currently Top 10 and climbing the CDXTRACtion True Indie country singles chart. The new single is on the heels of a successful radio campaign with “I Want It All,” a multi-week No. 1, including 11 weeks in the Top 5, and Mediabase Activator chart Top 50, spending 11 consecutive weeks in the Country Aircheck magazine Top 60.

2026 continues to keep Ewing busy, with recent appearances including the Grand Ole Opry, Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum and more. Catch him on the road this month in Farmington, NM (8/13) and Gettysburg, PA (8/14) where fans will experience a unique blend of two of country and bluegrass music’s most talented artists as he joins Appalachian Road Show at the Gettysburg Bluegrass Festival as a special guest!
